Accounts Payable Specialist

Oliveira Enterprises, Inc. (OEI), a leading Farming, Compost, and Green Waste Recycling Company with over 28 years of experience, is seeking to expand our office staff. This position will focus on Accounts Payable and support Human Resources functions. Based in Byron, CA, OEI is a key player in bulk materials. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish and possess strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.Please be aware that our work involves dust and dirt, which is a part of the process.   • This position is full time, Monday through Friday 8:30 – 4:30

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts' payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Your expertise in financial software, accounting principles, and compliance standards will be essential in supporting our organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where accuracy, efficiency, and integrity are valued.Responsibilities

  • Process and verify all incoming invoices
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare periodic balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements. Maintaining the general ledger integrity.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of transactions and internal controls related to accounts payable.
  • Responsible for support with payroll processing.
  • Customer Service for drop in recycling clients, including processing cash and credit card transactions. Responsible for daily trucking dispatch email and dispatch phone calls/messages.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable workflows and enhance accuracy.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years administrative office experience, including experience with Human Resources.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
