Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Reading Anthracite is part of a network of 20+ companies serving multiple industrial end-markets, including energy and power solutions, construction, fabrication, commercial lubricants, and engineering. In addition to its core operations, the Reading Anthracite team provides shared general and administrative services across the broader enterprise—supporting functions such as finance and accounting, human resources, risk management, legal and compliance coordination, IT, procurement, and other corporate services—to drive consistency, efficiency, and strong governance across the platform. This position would be located out of the Pottsville, PA office and reports to the Controller.
Job Overview: We are seeing a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This position plays an important role in managing our payment processes and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process invoices accurately and timely
· Investigate and resolve internal and external inquiries concerning invoices and payments
· Assist with the processing of checks, wires, and other payment methods
· Maintain accounts payable documentation
· Organize and manage accounts payable filing
· Perform other duties as required to support the accounting team
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
· Good organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Work Environment:
Full-time position, in-office, Monday through Friday.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
