Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction-related accounting, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities:
• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system for timely payment.
• Conduct regular check runs and reconcile vendor accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to manage certified payroll documentation and ensure compliance.
• Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks Desktop, Sage, or Masterbuilders, for financial operations.
• Address and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices and payments.
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activities for reporting purposes.
• Assist with financial audits by providing relevant accounts payable documentation.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth payment processes.
• Support the business office manager with additional accounting tasks as needed.
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, Sage, or Masterbuilders.
• Knowledge of certified payroll processes and construction accounting practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to code invoices accurately and perform check runs efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
• Proficiency in invoice processing and financial record-keeping.
• Capability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines.
