Accounts Payable Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Accounts Payable Specialist supports Division-D’s accounting operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. This role involves reviewing and reconciling invoices, verifying approvals, maintaining organized records, and assisting with month-end reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to accuracy, helping ensure strong vendor relationships and smooth financial operations across the organization.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, documentation, and approvals before payment.
  • Prepare payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer in accordance with company policies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable (AP) records within the accounting system such as AP aging and payment term.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support month-end close, AP reporting, and forecasting.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience at minimum in accounts payable or general accounting functions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across internal teams and with vendors.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Excel; QuickBooks experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
