Accounts Receivable Accountant

Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable / Store Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of store sales and customer-related transactions. The role focuses on daily POS-to-ERP postings, cash and card reconciliations, store deposit tracking, and managing customer accounts and loyalty program accounting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Post daily store sales from POS systems to ERP, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform daily cash and card reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances promptly.
  • Track and monitor store cash deposits, ensuring timely bank deposits and proper documentation.
  • Maintain and manage customer accounts, including balances, collections, and adjustments where applicable.
  • Record, reconcile, and monitor loyalty program transactions, including points accrual, redemption, and related liabilities.
  • Coordinate with store operations, treasury, and IT teams to resolve sales or payment discrepancies.
  • Prepare periodic reports on sales performance, receivables aging, and reconciliation status.
  • Support month-end closing activities related to store revenue and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or revenue accounting, preferably in retail or multi-store environments.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems and ERP integration.
  • Strong understanding of cash handling, card settlements, and bank reconciliation processes.
  • Experience in loyalty program accounting is a strong advantage.
  • High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar) is preferred.
