Accounts Receivable & Payroll Assistant (Part-Time)

Pay: $20–$30 per hour (depending on experience)

River City Courier is a fast-growing logistics and courier company based in Virginia. We specialize in time-sensitive deliveries including medical, auto parts, wine distribution, and commercial freight. Our company is expanding quickly and we are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional to help manage invoicing, accounts receivable, and payroll support.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing financial information and helping a growing company stay efficient.

Responsibilities

• Send invoices to clients for completed delivery routes
• Track outstanding invoices and follow up on payments
• Maintain a simple accounts receivable ledger
• Assist with weekly driver payroll tracking
• Organize delivery documentation (BOLs, route confirmations, etc.)
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding invoices or payment status
• Provide a weekly report of outstanding balances

Ideal Candidate

• Has 10+ years of professional work experience
• Is extremely detail-oriented and organized
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Can work independently and manage tasks without supervision
• Is trustworthy and values confidentiality
• Has experience with bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or payroll

Experience in logistics, transportation, or courier services is a plus but not required.
