Job Title: Accounts Semi-Senior

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will be responsible for preparing draft accounts, VAT returns, tax computations, and management accounts for small to medium-sized businesses. This role is designed for someone who wants to develop their accounting expertise and eventually progress towards managing client portfolios.

You will work closely with Client Managers and the UK team, ensuring that all client work is completed accurately and efficiently. This is a technical and learning-focused role, where you will gain valuable experience in UK accounting and tax while supporting the firm’s overall operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts & Tax Preparation

Prepare working papers for statutory accounts, VAT returns, tax returns, and management accounts.

  • Complete draft accounts production for review by the Manager or Partner.
  • Assist with the preparation of corporation tax computations.
  • Ensure accurate bookkeeping using bank feeds, Dext, and other automation tools.

Client Support & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate client records within the firm’s accounting software.
  • Handle client communications, assisting with queries and providing necessary support.
  • Monitor deadlines for payroll, VAT, and CIS returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.

Training & Development

  • Work under the guidance of Client Managers to refine accounting and tax skills.
  • Gain experience in reviewing work and preparing for a future Client Manager role.
  • Receive structured training in UK accounting, tax regulations, and compliance.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1-2 years of UK practice experience.
  • Part-qualified ACCA/AAT (or equivalent).

Skills & Strengths

  • Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, and FreeAgent.
  • Strong understanding of UK tax, VAT, and accounting standards.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for client interactions.

Pay & Benefits:

Salary Range: PKR 102,000 – PKR 136,000 per month (depending on experience).
