Job Title: Accounts Team Manager (Pakistan)

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a strong leader to manage our team in Pakistan. This person will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, team management, and workflow efficiency, ensuring that all client work is completed accurately and on time. They will also play a key role in reviewing work, supporting business growth, and acting as the main point of contact for the UK team.

Key Responsibilities:

Client and Team Management:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s portfolio, the clients’ businesses, and their requirements.
  • Oversee the Pakistan team’s workload, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Keep workflows running smoothly, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Train and support team members, helping them grow in their roles.
  • Review and approve timesheets, ensuring budgeted hours and overtime are monitored.
  • Assist with performance reviews and annual reviews.
  • Support recruitment efforts, if required, for new team members.

Quality Control - Reviewing Work Before Submission:

  • Ensure all work is checked and approved before submission to the UK team or clients, including:
  • Final Accounts & Working Papers (including annual accounts emails).
  • Corporation Tax Returns & Tax Computations.
  • Monthly/ Quarterly Management Accounts.
  • Bookkeeping & VAT Returns (across different VAT schemes).
  • Confirmation Statements & Compliance Filings.
  • Payroll, CIS, and Pension Emails.
  • Personal Tax Returns & Computations (including self-employment and rental accounts).

Improving Systems & Processes:

  • Work with UK partners to improve workflows, software, and operational systems.
  • Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure processes are streamlined to save time and improve accuracy.

Business Growth & Marketing Support - Helping the Firm Grow:

  • Understand the firm’s targets and business goals, working towards their achievement.
  • Support the UK team in marketing efforts to attract and retain clients.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients, including handling registrations.

Taking Ownership & Responsibility:

  • Act as the main point of contact between the UK and Pakistan teams.
  • Monitor team performance, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Take ownership of key tasks, challenges, and projects to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments as directed by the UK partners.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • 3-5 years of experience in UK accounting practice, including team management.

Skills & Strengths:

  • Proven experience managing a team of 5-10 people.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Accounts, Bookkeeping, VAT and Business and Personal Taxes
  • Expertise in Xero, QuickBooks, and FreeAgent.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing work done by team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative.

Personal Qualities:

  • Clear and confident communicator with strong spoken and written English.
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and ambitious, keen to grow with the firm and take on more responsibility over time.

Pay and Benefits:

  • 200,000 to 300,000 PKR +– Depending on experience
  • 28 Days Annual Holidays
  • Performance Related Bonuses
  • Annual Bonuses are based firms’ growth and performance (share of profits)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs300,000.00 per month
