Responsibilities

  • Manages the welcome and reception area, including serving as the primary staff member welcoming guests at the front desk, answering phones, and referring inquiries to the appropriate people.
  • Recruits, trains, and supervises a team of student staff members who assist with customer service and administrative functions.
  • Manages the general Center email account and Center calendars; ensures all mail and packages are delivered to appropriate staff members.
  • Manages workrooms, including inventory and supplies. Provides administrative and programmatic support for center programs and services as needed.
  • Serves as primary approver for use of vans and space for staff via the Center's current reservation system.
  • Serves as a representative on the DSC Building Committee in partnership with the Career Center to resolve space conflicts, create policy updates as needed, and partner on events/programs when appropriate.
  • Coordinates and manages requests and opportunities for in-person marketing such as presentations, tabling, and special events.
  • Remains knowledgeable and up-to date about the center's work, programs, and opportunities in order to best assist students, employees, and the general public with potential interests.
  • Designated representative for the Center's disaster preparation and serves as the primary liaison for the Seminole Secure BIA & DR group and the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).
  • Serves as the Facilities Liaison Officer (FLO), Property Manager and Property Custodian and ITS liaison for the department. Serves as the records manager and assists with the budget and record keeping process for facility/building maintenance.

Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Anticipated Salary Range


The anticipated starting salary for this position is in the low to mid $30,000’s, commensurate with experience and education.
