The Computer and Information Technology & Graphics Department at Purdue University Northwest is seeking an Administrative Assistant. The position will be responsible for handling all day to day administrative support functions for the Center for Cybersecurity . This individual will work independently to administer and provide specialized support.
Typically 8am – 5pm with occasional evening/weekend work; will flex work schedule to accommodate
This position is grant-funded and continued employment is contingent upon ongoing funding availability.
Assist in grant proposal preparation and submission
Assist in reporting and marketing
Manage grant budgets, pay invoices, coordinate travel, and perform temp and student hiring
Reporting and Marketing
Serve as liaison between PIs, University administrative offices, and external agencies, sponsors or partners
Provide support on special projects as needed

High school diploma/GED required
Two years’ administrative support experience
Ability to work well independently with accuracy and efficiency
Highly organized and excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a team environment
Self-direction, excellent initiative and creativity while maintaining high quality of work
Self-motivated and able to use time and resources effectively
Able to make and implement plans with patience, persistence, and consistency
Ability to identify and correct problems as they occur
Outstanding written and verbal skills
Proficiency in Video Conferencing and Microsoft Office software
Ability to learn and adapt to system and policy changes
