Administrative Assistant

As the Administrative Assistant for House of Prayer Lutheran Church, you are a big part of our team. The Administrative Assistant provides a welcoming, confidential, and positive environment for all that come to the church. This position will be responsible for all accounting functions within the church. This position will also provide administrative support to Ministers, staff, and church council members within the church.

In this position, you are responsible for the overall effectiveness of the church office. This includes being a welcoming presence at the church, determining the nature of each individual's visit, and directing them accordingly in a helpful manner. This position is 40 hours per week.

To thrive in this position, you must have a high school diploma or GED and at least three (3) years of office coordination experience that includes bookkeeping. Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.

In this position, you must be able to work in an environment where work is interrupted, and deadlines and priorities change. You must also have a high level of understanding and ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft computer software programs, Google programs, and Subsplash.

To be considered for this position, you must have four years of experience developing and coordinating programs or projects that included supervising professional level staff. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
