Job Summary: Administrative Assistant
The RDC Administrative Assistant serves as the first point of contact for visitors and staff, providing professional front desk support and administrative coordination. This position manages daily reception operations, schedules appointments, processes payments, and assists with organizational communications and recordkeeping. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create a welcoming and efficient front office environment.


Essential Functions
  • Serve as the primary front desk contact for visitors, participants, and phone/email inquiries
  • Greet guests in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Manage appointment scheduling and calendar coordination
  • Process payments and maintain accurate transaction records
  • Maintain and update organizational records, databases, and contact lists
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation
  • Assist with coordination of meetings, programs, or events as needed
  • Ensure the front facing RDC area remains organized, presentable, and well-stocked


Job Description
The Administrative Assistant manages daily front office operations and provides administrative support to ensure efficient workflow. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, managing schedules, coordinating appointments, processing payments, and maintaining records. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment. This role may also assist with basic office coordination, including preparing materials for meetings, supporting internal communications, and helping maintain organized administrative systems. The Administrative Assistant works collaboratively with staff to support smooth daily operations.


Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, word processing, spreadsheets, scheduling systems)
  • Experience handling payments or cash transactions preferred


Working Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • This position may require non-traditional hours including evenings and weekend work
