This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Lexington County Community Mental Health Center, 301 Palmetto Park Blvd, Lexington, SC 29072.

As the Administrative Coordinator I, working under general supervision, you will plan, direct, and organize the complex administrative activities of the Executive Office of the Community Mental Health Center.

Responsibilities for the Administrative Coordinator I:
  • Serve as assistant to the Executive Director and as liaison between the Center and the Board of Directors; composes/disseminates correspondence to the board. Functions as the primary designee of the Executive Director for organizing and managing official business, correspondence, and appointments. Receives information and assemble reports and documents for the Board of Directors and Executive Director. Help to coordinate special meeting and public relations events.
  • Ensure that all employees have a current EPMS planning stages. Send out reminders to supervisors when reviews are due and follows up if review is not received in a timely manner. Prepare and submit all EPMS's to HR Processing.
  • Provide back up for HR Manager with all payroll functions. Assist HR Manager in Job Posting, screening applicants, and complete close out for the Center.
  • Assist in scheduling trainings and entering data into SCEIS related to training attendance. Assist with onboarding new hires and coordinating orientation schedules.
  • Assist with Insurance credentialing to ensure that staff can bill appropriately to private insurance.
  • Keep updated on the mandatory required training for OMH and Lexington. Comply with all local, state, federal laws and corporate compliance.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
