Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The purpose of the University Registrar is the responsibility for maintaining the integrity of all student academic records, admissions, and registration information. Inherent in that function is the responsibility of disseminating information from those records as needed but within compliance guidelines established both by law (such as the Buckley Amendment, FERPA – Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and by University policy.

Primary Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and manage curricula and course changes, transfer credits for continuing, readmitted, inter-institutional, and study abroad students and the Degree Works module in Banner. Duties will include monitoring and updating curricula and course changes as approved, manages transfer credits for continuing, readmitted, inter-institutional, and study abroad students in Banner. Coordinates, and monitors the Degree Works module in the Banner Student System to include scribing of programs and will be responsible for the coordination and processing of grade changes. This position will provide assistance with the graduation process, development and documentation of policy and procedures, conduct research, and make appropriate disposition of inquirer involving the interpretation of policies for expeditious response, make decisions on specific operating problems in accordance with institutional policies and procedures, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of Student Banner or an equivalent system; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) Applications; knowledge of office management; knowledge of coordinating and managing curricula and course changes, transfer credits for continuing, readmitted, inter-institutional; Knowledge of Degree Works; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; ability to work flexible schedules; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills, excellent editing skills; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.

Minimum Education/Experience
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Duties
This position will be responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the Degree Works module in the Banner Student system. This position will monitor and update in the Banner system approved curricula and courses. This position will be the liaison between the Registrar’s Office and the Degree Works Committee and will work closely with departments to insure accuracy of curricula in the Banner Student system. This position accurately and efficiently coordinates, researches, and manages transfer credits for continuing, readmitted, inter-institutional, and study abroad students. Communication with the various University Admissions Offices and academic departments is required. This position will monitor and maintain the Inter-Institutional and Study Abroad processes and will coordinate these programs with the University International Affairs Office.

This position will advise the Associate Registrar and Registrar of program changes with the Transfer Credit/Degree Works processes and will evaluate and document data entry and internal process changes.

Duties
Ability to conduct academic record search and retrieval. Ability to demonstrate records processing activities requiring the application and some interpretation of agency procedures, policies, laws, and regulations. Reviews information for completeness and accuracy using multiple guidelines.
