Position Summary
The Admissions Lead is responsible for leading and managing the university’s student recruitment and admissions operations. This role oversees the development and execution of strategic enrollment initiatives, supervises admissions staff, ensures compliance with institutional policies, and drives applicant conversion to meet enrollment targets.
The Admissions Lead plays a key role in shaping the incoming student body and enhancing the university’s brand, reputation, and student experience.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Enrollment Strategy

Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to achieve enrollment goals (undergraduate, graduate, international, or online programs).

Analyze enrollment data, application trends, and market insights to inform recruitment strategies.

Identify new markets, partnerships, and outreach opportunities.
Admissions Operations Management

Oversee application review processes to ensure fairness, consistency, and compliance with university policies.

Monitor admissions metrics including conversion rates, yield, and enrollment targets.

Manage CRM systems and admissions databases.

Ensure timely communication with applicants throughout the admissions lifecycle.
Team Leadership & Staff Supervision

Recruit, train, and supervise admissions officers and support staff.

Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.

Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
Outreach & Relationship Management

Represent the university at recruitment events, school visits, fairs, and conferences.

Build relationships with high schools, colleges, agents, and community organizations.

Collaborate with academic departments and marketing teams to align messaging and recruitment campaigns.
Compliance & Policy Oversight

Ensure adherence to institutional policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in admissions decisions.

Support accreditation and audit processes as needed.
Reporting & Analytics

Prepare regular reports on application trends, enrollment projections, and performance metrics.

Use data to improve admissions workflows and applicant experience.

Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, or related field preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment

Comfort with phone-based and digital outreach

Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required for recruitment events
Required Experience

5+ years of experience in university admissions, enrollment management, or student recruitment.

2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Experience with admissions CRM systems and data analytics tools.
