Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and efficiency
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed
  • Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture accurate diagnostic images while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
  • Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic to document treatment details, medical history, and coding accurately
  • Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and handling medical documentation with professionalism
  • Conduct vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and compliance with infection control standards
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies, assist with sterilization processes, and uphold infection control protocols in accordance with OSHA guidelines

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical imaging, and vital signs measurement
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedural workflows across general dentistry disciplines such as prosthodontics and endodontics
  • Experience with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic for efficient documentation and record management
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information at all times
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices including pediatric-specific communication and care approaches
  • Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate appointments and manage patient inquiries effectively

Pay: $25.34 - $30.51 per hour
