About the job Advisor, IT Asset & Program Management
Purpose of the job
Manage and optimize IT software and hardware assets along with the timely management of IT infrastructure programs and projects.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintaining records of all software assets as well as tracking them.

Ensure compliance with software licensing terms and vendor agreements.

Manage software procurement and renewals.

Identify opportunities for cost savings through license optimization.

Prepare Audit Report and manage software audit as well.

Manage software purchases through a centralized process to ensure license compliance.

Coordinate with Infrastructure teams and business owners to optimize value and ensure legal compliance.

Monitor license usage, renewals, and optimization opportunities.

Represents Orange Egypt in the Group SAM program.

Ensure the correct management of software spending, renewals, optimization, proper usage of the license pool, and compliance with contractual rules.

Participate in the management of the department annual budget and controls OpEx through optimizing the systems SLA and all related support contracts.

Identify, assess, and report associated risks in the asset lifecycle

Conduct impact assessments for asset acquisition, modification, retention, or disposal.

Recommend lifecycle decisions in line with cost-efficiency and compliance requirements.

Implement asset management policies and governance framework across the organization.

Performs surveys on software vendor market for software asset management practices and tools.

Design and modify processes and policies to effectively manage and control licenses.

Lead and manage relationships with vendors.

Manages the cycle of HW purchasing and installation.

Assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

Develop project plans to track progress and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of IT infrastructure projects.

Evaluate project outcomes in terms of quality, consistency, accuracy, overall value, completion dates and provider performance.
Education:
Bachelors degree in communication engineering.
Experience and skills:
- 6-8 years of experience
- Bachelors degree in communication engineering.
- Proven experience as an IT asset manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of various software vendors ( MS, Oracle, Red hat, and VMware .) and their licensing models.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in cross-functional teams management.
- Excellent data analysis skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
