Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Mandarine Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves guiding children through engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education or related fields. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ growth while fostering a love for learning beyond the classroom.

Duties

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that support childhood development and learning objectives.
  • Manage classroom behavior to create a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment.
  • Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Incorporate creative arts, sports, theater, or other extracurricular activities to enrich the students’ experience.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavioral updates.
  • Maintain organized records of student participation, behavior, and developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop curriculum plans and special programs.
  • Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all children.

Skills

  • Strong classroom management and behavior management skills to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Ability to engage children through creative teaching methods including theater, sports coaching, or arts & crafts.
  • First aid certification is preferred; training can be provided if needed.
  • Experience with special education needs or Christian counseling is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for nurturing young learners’ growth and curiosity.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week
