After-School Teacher

Job Summary

Duties

• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to create individualized education plans for students requiring special education services.
• Incorporate hands-on activities, technology, and creative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance metrics.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices and methodologies.

Skills

• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an orderly learning environment.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure student safety.
• Experience in special education or working with children who have diverse needs is highly valued.
• Proven teaching experience with a focus on early childhood education or elementary-level instruction.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques that promote positive student interactions.
• Background in childcare settings such as daycare or camp environments is beneficial.
• Skills in tutoring, sports coaching, theater, or Christian counseling can enhance the educational experience provided to students.
