Education: Current enrollment as a graduate student at the University of Florida, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience: Familiarity with artificial intelligence technologies (including large language models and prompt engineering), and programming languages (e.g., Python). Experience with workflow automation, AI agent development, enterprise platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot), testing/QA, and documentation for production-ready solutions is highly desirable.

Job Description
Solution Design and Agent Development:

Support the design, refinement, and enhancement of AI agents using enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, UF Navigator, and Salesforce (Agentforce, where appropriate).

Apply programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and AI frameworks to strengthen prompts, improve logic flows, and mature tools from prototype to production-ready capabilities.
Workflow Analysis And Process Standardization

Collaborate with the UF/IFAS Extension ABI Team, Extension Business Services (EBS), and relevant stakeholders to identify high-impact administrative and operational workflows suitable for AI-enabled automation.

Utilize process mapping techniques to document current-state workflows, identify variability or inefficiencies, and support the development of standardized AI-assisted outputs.
Implementation, Validation, And Quality Assurance

Assist in the deployment, beta testing, and validation of AI-driven tools to ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance alignment.

Contribute to prompt refinement, test case development, and iterative improvements based on stakeholder feedback.

Support preparation of user-facing documentation and training materials to enable responsible and scalable adoption.
Reporting, Documentation, And Stakeholder Communication

Maintain structured documentation of development progress, testing results, challenges, and outcomes.

Assist in preparing summaries, presentations, and deliverables for leadership and stakeholders at the conclusion of the cohort.

Special Instructions To Applicants
Expected commitment is: 40 hours per week over the 12-week period of May 18, 2026, through August 14, 2026.
Typical Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional adjustments may be required based on project needs. This position is in-person, without a remote work option at the ABI Offices at the Straughn IFAS Extension Professional Development Center in Gainesville, Florida.
