Key Responsibilities
Operations & Execution
- Manage day-to-day air export/import operations (EXW, FCA, FOB, DDP, DAP, CSB, T5, AOG, DG etc.).
- Ensure timely booking, pickup, documentation, AWB issuance, and airline coordination.
- Handle time-critical/AOG/ship spares cargo with precision.
- Monitor cargo movement until final delivery (pre-alerts, milestones, PODs).
- Ensure 100% compliance with airline, customs, and security regulations.
Customer & Agent Management
- Maintain strong communication with customers, overseas agents, and network partners.
- Prepare and share quotes with accuracy and within set TATs.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
Airline & Vendor Management
- Liaise with airlines, GSAs, CSAs, ground handlers, and trucking vendors.
- Negotiate rates and space allocation (especially during peak periods).
- Build strong relationships with key carriers (EK, EY, QR, TK, W5, 5S, etc.).
Commercial & Pricing
- Prepare competitive airfreight quotations.
- Ensure healthy GP margins and monthly revenue targets.
- Track performance reports and share insights with management.
Documentation
- Oversee MAWB/HAWB, DG declarations, invoices, packing lists, and export filings.
- Ensure accuracy for transhipment/third-country operations.
Team & Process
- Train and guide the air freight team.
- Improve SOPs and streamline processes for efficiency.
- Ensure every enquiry is logged and closed on time.
Requirements
- Minimum 4–6 years experience in Air Freight operations (UAE market preferred).
- Strong knowledge of airline processes, MAWB/HAWB, DG handling, and AOG shipments.
- Existing relationships with airlines, GSAs, and handling agents.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent deadlines.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Fresa/Calogi/ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong customer service mindset with attention to detail.
