Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in Radio/Television, Communications, or related field. Two years of experience in television or video production to include experience in field camera operations and Media 100 editing are required. Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferences


Experience with modern video editing and motion graphics tools, including the latest versions of Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder).

The Videographer leads and executes advanced multimedia production initiatives for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department’s Digital Marketing Division. This role is responsible for the visual storytelling and technical execution of video content that represents Miami International Airport to a global audience. The incumbent of this position will be working with high-definition cinema cameras, stabilized gimbal systems, and AI-integrated post-production suites. The responsibilities of this position require a solid understanding of digital cinematography, lighting aesthetics, sound design, and modern video workflows. The incumbent will articulate creative decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The incumbent will also be managing multiple production projects with tight deadlines, including field shoots on the airfield and live-streamed events. They will have knowledge of relevant hardware for field and studio production, including Windows-based editing workstations and mobile transmission gear, be familiar with social media video optimization (9:16), digital asset management systems, and understanding emerging media trends such as generative AI for video enhancement. They will also have familiarity with live-streaming protocols (RTMP/SRT) and multi-camera studio switching equipment; Strong portfolio or demo reel demonstrating high-quality cinematography, color grading, and narrative pacing across multiple platforms; Strong knowledge of social media platforms - this includes trends, hooks, captions, and optimal video length.

Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law.
