Job Overview

The Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire accounts payable function, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely vendor payments, and strong financial control. This role also includes cash flow planning, vendor management, reconciliations, and process improvement in a high-volume restaurant environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable Operations

• Oversee verification and posting of vendor invoices in ERP systems (SAP/Sage, etc.)
• Ensure timely payments while optimizing cash flow
• Manage AP aging reports and prioritize payments
• Handle recurring payments (utilities, rentals, etc.)

Financial Management & Analysis

• Monitor AP impact on cash flow and working capital
• Prepare cash flow forecasts related to payables
• Support budgeting and variance analysis
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and better payment terms

Vendor Management & Reconciliation

• Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve disputes
• Conduct vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Review vendor contracts and payment terms
• Act as escalation point for vendor-related issues

Process Improvement & Controls

• Identify inefficiencies and implement automation in AP processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
• Maintain proper documentation for audit readiness
• Implement controls to prevent errors and fraud

Financial Reporting & Coordination

• Ensure accurate recording of AP transactions in the general ledger
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and tax teams
• Align AP processes with overall financial systems

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team
• Conduct performance reviews and training
• Ensure team alignment with organizational goals

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• ACCA/CA/CMA (Part Qualified preferred)
• 3–5+ years of Accounts Payable experience (Restaurant/F&B industry mandatory)
• Prior team handling / supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP B1, Sage, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Understanding of IFRS / local compliance standards
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs110,000.00 per month

Experience:

• SAP B1: 1 year (Preferred)
• accounts in restaurant sector: 5 years (Required)
