Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the finance and operational teams across multiple sites. This role will be critical in managing financial processes, reporting, and analysis to help drive business decisions and operational excellence. The individual will work closely with finance, sales and operations leadership teams to ensure accurate reporting, support costing activities, and maintain effective financial controls. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in finance or accounting within a business environment, strong reporting and analytical skills, and a solid understanding of operational finance. High attention to detail, excellent time management, and strong collaboration skills are key to success in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create, standardize, prepare and maintain General Ledger (GL) summary reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency for financial review.
  • Consolidate financial actuals and forecasts into the company-wide forecast file on a weekly and monthly basis for use in executive presentations and reporting decks.
  • Prepare and maintain sales forecast summaries and related reporting for multiple product categories.
  • Prepare initial variance explanations for monthly sales flash reports, to VPs of Finance for initial review.
  • Provide Revenue & EBITDA analysis and comparisons to support Finance leadership in understanding performance drivers.
  • Provide financial support for Monthly PPC and Quarterly Board Decks, including preparation of slides and data consolidation.
  • Oversee Weekly Operating Report (WOR) processes or any future process, including updates and summary reporting across sites; support automation initiatives for reporting and summaries.
  • Perform cost and overhead spend analysis, delivering insights to support operational and financial decision-making.
  • Assist with customer pricing activities, including expanded BOM file setup and costing file reviews.
  • Support annual planning processes, including AOP BI upload files for volume, revenue, and margin.
  • Input and maintain MOST Tracker data monthly; assist in the forecasting of the MOST projections.
  • Develop and update heat maps and other analytical tools to provide visibility into financial risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in financial analysis around potential acquisition targets, as well as support presentations.
  • Responsible for collecting and working with the VPs of Finance to validate Risk & Opportunities.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from commercialization, IBP, sales, finance, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support financial and operational objectives.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Education and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Preferred Experience: Three or more years of financial or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operational finance environment. Prior ERP system experience is a plus.
Competencies and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and operational finance.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience in financial reporting and financial statement analysis.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and the ability to work within an ERP system.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
  • Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting items of up to 20 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking.
