Independently manage domestic and international trademark portfolios for a diverse client base.
Oversee trademark lifecycle activities including searches, filings, renewals, recordals, and maintenance.
Advise clients on brand protection strategies, clearance, and risk mitigation.

Prosecution & Opposition

Handle trademark prosecution from filing to registration, including responses to examination reports.
Manage and represent clients in opposition, rectification, and cancellation proceedings.
Coordinate with external counsel, trademark offices, and international associates where required.

Drafting & Advisory

Draft and review pleadings, oppositions, counter-statements, affidavits, written submissions, and legal opinions.
Prepare cease-and-desist notices, settlement agreements, and coexistence agreements.
Provide legal advice on trademark infringement, enforcement, and compliance matters.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely updates and strategic guidance.
Communicate effectively with clients, registry officials, counsels, and internal teams. Mentor junior associates and review their work for accuracy and quality.

Required Qualifications & Skills

7 - 10 years of post-qualification experience in trademarks.
Proven ability to independently manage trademark portfolios. Strong hands-on experience in trademark prosecution and opposition matters.
Excellent drafting skills with attention to legal accuracy and clarity. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Prior experience in a reputed law firm or corporate IP practice.
Working knowledge of international trademark laws and procedures (e.g., Madrid Protocol).
Exposure to cross-border trademark filings and enforcement matters.
Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
