Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and developing livestock production systems, ensuring the health, productivity, and sustainability of animal resources. The role involves supervising breeding programs, animal nutrition, disease control, and providing technical support to improve overall production efficiency in remote working conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily livestock production activities.
• Develop and implement feeding, breeding, and health programs for animals.
• Monitor animal growth, productivity, and overall well-being.
• Conduct regular health inspections and coordinate with veterinarians when necessary.
• Implement biosecurity and disease prevention measures.
• Provide technical guidance and training to staff and workers.
• Prepare reports on livestock performance and production improvements.
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and safety regulations.
• Apply sustainable practices suitable for the local environment of Socotra.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Production, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in livestock production and management.
• Strong knowledge of animal nutrition, breeding, and health management.
• Ability to work in a remote environment (Socotra Island).
• Proficiency in preparing technical reports and using relevant software.
