Agriculture Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops agricultural equipment, structures, and systems, applying engineering principles to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. Design and test agricultural machinery, such as tractors, harvesters, and processing equipment, using computer-aided design (CAD) technology.
• Key responsibilities include designing and testing machinery, planning irrigation and drainage systems, developing innovative food production technologies, conducting research on sustainable farming methods, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations; Develop sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices for agricultural production, resource management, and crop optimization.
• Plan, design, and supervise the construction of irrigation systems, drainage networks, flood control structures, animal housing, and storage facilities like silos and greenhouses.
• To collaborate with farmers, scientists, and other professionals to create solutions for complex challenges in food and fiber production; Research and develop innovative technologies and management practices for efficient food and fiber production, including waste disposal.
• Conduct research to improve agricultural processes and analyze data related to soil, water, and crops to support resource management.
• Work with farmers, agricultural scientists, engineers, and other professionals to implement new technologies and communicate technical information effectively.
• Ensure designs and projects comply with local codes, permits, and relevant state and federal agricultural laws and guidelines. Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
