Application Engineer (Mechanical- Metallurgy)

To provide technical expertise in metallurgy, materials selection, and mechanical design to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of boilers and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist in material selection for boiler pressure parts, piping, and accessories.

– Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and specifications.

– Support design team with metallurgical evaluations and failure analysis.

– Liaise with customers for technical clarifications and solution presentations.

– Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve material-related issues.

– Conduct thermal and stress analysis when required.

– Assist in after-sales technical support and troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Sc. Mechanical) with specialization or strong knowledge in Metallurgy.

– PEC Registration preferred.

– Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, and ISO standards for materials and boilers.

Experience Requirements:

– 2–4 years of experience in a mechanical/metallurgical engineering role in the boiler, pressure vessel, or heavy fabrication industry.

– Fresh graduates with strong academic background in metallurgy may also be considered.

Technical Skills:

– Metallurgical testing and analysis.- Understanding of welding metallurgy, corrosion, and heat treatment processes.

- Familiarity with CAD software (2D & 3D/SolidWorks).

- Knowledge of NDT methods.

- Basic thermal and stress analysis skills.

- MS Project (FES is must).

Compensation (Karachi Market): 70k – 50k /month.

Work Location: Site Area Karachi – Onsite with occasional travel to client sites.
