Application Specialist

Job Summary:

The Application Specialist is responsible for the configuration, support, and optimization of software applications used within the organization. This role involves working closely with end users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure applications meet business requirements and function effectively. The specialist will also provide training, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to ongoing application improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, implement, and maintain business applications according to organizational needs.
• Act as the primary point of contact for application-related issues, escalations, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into application features or modifications.
• Provide end-user support, training, and documentation for new or updated applications.
• Monitor application performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with vendors to resolve bugs, manage upgrades, and implement patches.
• Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and IT governance policies.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance activities during application rollouts or updates.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, workflows, and user guides.
• Stay updated on new technologies, features, and best practices related to key applications.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role (depending on level).
