Job Title: Senior Architect

Department: Design / Projects
Reports To: Design Manager / Project Director

Job Summary

The Senior Architect is responsible for leading architectural design, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with client requirements, statutory regulations, quality standards, and agreed timelines. The role involves design leadership, technical oversight, and client coordination from concept to project completion.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Management

• Lead architectural design development from concept to construction drawings.
• Prepare and review design layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international design standards.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, and interior teams.

Project Coordination

• Act as the main architectural point of contact with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Attend design coordination meetings and site progress meetings.
• Review and respond to RFIs, technical submittals, and shop drawings.
• Support project execution by resolving design and technical issues.

Authority Approvals

• Manage submissions and approvals with authorities (Municipality, Civil Defense, Master Developers, etc.).
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE codes, regulations, and submission requirements.
• Coordinate revisions as per authority comments and resubmit on time.

Site Support & Supervision

• Conduct site visits to monitor architectural works and ensure design intent is maintained.
• Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support snagging, de-snagging, and final handover activities.

Team Leadership

• Guide and mentor junior architects and draftsmen.
• Review and approve architectural drawings prepared by the team.
• Allocate tasks and ensure timely delivery of design outputs.

Quality & Documentation

• Ensure architectural deliverables meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Prepare design reports, specifications, and presentation materials.
• Maintain organized project records and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 8–12 years experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, authority procedures, and approval processes.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and detailing.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong design sense combined with technical expertise.

Authority

• Approve architectural drawings and design changes within project scope.
• Represent the architectural team in client and consultant meetings.
• Recommend design improvements and value engineering proposals.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
