Architectural BIM Modeler

Position Summary

The Architectural BIM Modeler is responsible for creating, developing, and managing 3D architectural models and detailed drawings using BIM software such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. The role supports architectural design development, coordination with other disciplines, and preparation of shop drawings in compliance with project requirements. The candidate must have experience in civil construction projects and a strong understanding of architectural detailing, building elements, and coordination workflows.

Key Responsibilities1. Architectural BIM Modeling

• Develop high‑quality 3D BIM models for architectural components including walls, floors, ceilings, façades, doors/windows, finishes, and external works.
• Create detailed sections, elevations, and schedules derived from the BIM model.
• Ensure models meet project LOD (Level of Development) and BIM Execution Plan standards.

2. Shop Drawings & Documentation

• Prepare architectural shop drawings, layouts, and detailed construction drawings.
• Update drawings based on revisions, RFIs, design changes, and consultant comments.
• Maintain all BIM files, drawing logs, and documentation systematically.

3. Coordination

• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and civil teams to resolve clashes and inconsistencies.
• Participate in coordination meetings and update models accordingly.
• Detect and report clashes using tools like Navisworks, BIM 360, or similar platforms.

4. Quality Control

• Review BIM models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with architectural standards.
• Ensure all details follow approved specifications, codes, and project requirements.
• Carry out QA/QC checks for architectural drawings before submission.

5. Support & Collaboration

• Work with architects and design engineers to understand design intent and convert it into accurate models.
• Support site teams by providing additional details, sections, and clarifications when needed.
• Assist in BIM visualization, rendering, and walkthroughs when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Drafting Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Architectural BIM Modeler in civil construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Architecture) and AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM platforms such as Navisworks, BIM 360, or similar.
• Good understanding of architectural codes, detailing standards, and construction methods.
• Experience in buildings, infrastructure, and large‑scale civil construction projects is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED6,000.00 per month
