At our studio, multiple areas are sought so design, planning and scholarly research go hand in hand. As a matter of fact, a very important difference in BEAD doing the service from other local design firms is the efforts we put in complimenting design tasks with a thorough research effort whether the latter goes into up-to-date design theories, building materials or new construction technologies.

It is by contradiction to policies of most of the practicing consultancy firms in the region, BEAD approaches the services of design and architecture as a sacred profession rather than a commercial business.

We currently operate out of our Abu Dhabi base, a decent environment of 500 sqm modern offices and employ 20+ high caliber professionals.

Responsibilities:

1. Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and details based on architects’ designs.

2. Prepare working drawings and IFC documents for construction.

3. Use drafting and design software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, or other BIM/CAD tools to produce accurate drawings.

4. Maintain organized digital files and drawing registers.

5. Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and MEP engineers to integrate all disciplines in the drawings.

6. Revise drawings based on design changes, comments, or site requirements.

7. Prepare drawings required for submissions to local authorities such as Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Department of Municipalities and Transport.

8. Ensure drawings follow UAE building regulations and submission standards.

9. Maintain drawing revisions, version control, and ensure the latest drawings are issued.

10. Assist in preparing drawing sets for tender or construction.

11. Update drawings based on site instructions, RFIs, or consultant comments.

12. Assist the project team in resolving design or drafting issues during construction.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of architectural drafting standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
• Understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Ability to read structural and MEP drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Good communication and coordination skills with project teams.
• Ability to interpret architectural sketches and convert them into technical drawings.
• Knowledge of construction standards, architectural detailing, and drafting conventions.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple drawing revisions.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelors' degree in Architecture, Drafting, or Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in an architectural or engineering consultancy firm.
• Certification or training in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD and preferably Autodesk Revit.
• Basic knowledge of architectural design principles, building materials, and construction methods.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes and standards used in authority submissions. Very good knowledge of computer applications related to the industry.
• Having a PMP Certificate is an advantage.
• Well versed with IT and related design software as well as web-based applications.
• Experience preparing authority submission drawings for local government authorities such as Abu Dhabi City Municipality or Department of Municipalities and Transport.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
