Architectural engineer

ob Summary:
The Architectural Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of architectural aspects of modular buildings used in oil and gas projects. This includes ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations while supporting modular/offsite construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectural designs, layouts, and detailed drawings for modular buildings (e.g., control rooms, accommodation units, technical buildings).
  • Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with client specifications, international standards, and oil & gas project requirements.
  • Support modular construction methodology, including prefabrication and offsite assembly.
  • Review vendor drawings and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor installation, finishing, and architectural works.
  • Resolve design issues and provide technical support during fabrication and installation stages.
  • Ensure proper selection of materials (fire-rated panels, insulation, finishes, etc.) suitable for harsh environments.
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and consultants.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
  • 3–8+ years of experience in architectural design, preferably in oil & gas / modular construction.
  • Strong knowledge of modular buildings, prefabrication, and industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g., fire safety, building codes).
  • Proficiency in design software such as:
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit / BIM tools
  • MS Office

Key Skills:

  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of materials for industrial and offshore environments
  • Ability to work under deadlines in fast-paced project environments

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects
  • Exposure to oil & gas facilities, refineries, or offshore modules
  • Knowledge of modular fabrication yards and site installation processes
