Architectural Walls Design Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented in-person intern to provide valuable support to our architectural design team, with a specific focus on prefabricated demountable walls and modular construction. In this role, you will assist the team in the critical process of reviewing Construction Documents to understand project specifications. You will also contribute to identifying the scope of work, researching and specifying appropriate architectural product lines, and identifying necessary hardware components.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of Architectural Products standard practices within the specialized area of prefabricated demountable walls and modular solutions. You will learn how these innovative components are integrated into both existing and new building designs and gain exposure to software specific to various manufacturers' product lines in this sector. Furthermore, you will gain valuable insight into the challenges that can arise during different project phases, including budgeting, various stages of design, and the installation process.

This is an in-person, part-time internship with flexible hours to work around your school schedule. Internships are paid.

What to expect:

• Hands-on experience in understanding building systems, and reading Construction Documents
• Getting familiar with basic Building Codes and Laws used within our scope.
• Assisting with project preparation for all its phases
• Working with 2D drawings and 3D models
• Working with various software: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, ICE, CET, Maars 4D, Microsoft Excel

Desired Skills and Experience:

• AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Space Planning, Bluebeam
• Ability to read construction documents
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Design college program, working to complete an Interior Design or Architecture Bachelor's degree.
• Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week

Pay: $15.50 per hour
