The Manager, District Construction is responsible for onsite performance of construction and maintenance work in accordance with contract requirements and ensuring cognizance to cost estimates for realization of maximum profit. This individual is also responsible for pursuing and booking traditional utility and industrial project work, as well as large service and maintenance work within their assigned district.


  1. Understands and communicates contract T&C’s
  2. Monitors project change management issues
  3. Identifies and targets future bid opportunities
  4. Manages project P&L within their assigned district
  5. Oversees, reviews, and approves project execution
  6. Frequently staffs project job sites
  7. Oversees large service/outage project performance
  8. Addresses, advises on, and assists with critical issues relative to projects within area of responsibility
  9. Communicates significant project issues to management
  10. Ensures compliance of project and personnel in accordance w/ Company policies and ethics programs
  11. Develops and manages talent within area of responsibility
  12. Challenges project team(s) to be customer and performance driven
  13. Develops and manages talent within their assigned district
  14. Frequently represents company opposite organized labor on jurisdictional issues, pre-job conference, and the grievance process.
  15. Occasionally represents company opposite organized labor on collective bargaining committees and apprenticeship committees for their assigned district
  16. Occasionally oversees contract negotiations
  17. Frequently oversees contract execution issue resolution
  18. Perform all other duties as assigned
