Job Purpose:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and managing distributor/retailer relationships in the assigned territory. This role involves leading a sales team, developing channel strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction to maximize revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market reach.
- Drive secondary and tertiary sales through effective channel management.
- Team Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor Sales Officers/Executives.
- Set performance goals and review team productivity regularly.
- Motivate the team to achieve individual and collective targets.
- Channel & Distribution Management
- Manage distributor and retailer networks to ensure product availability.
- Monitor stock levels, order placements, and credit control.
- Implement trade marketing activities and promotional schemes.
- Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities, pricing, and promotional campaigns.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to recommend strategies.
- Gather customer feedback to improve products and services.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market updates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and discount structures.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, collections, and expenses.

- Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
