OVERVIEW

The Area Sales Manager will oversee sales operations within a defined territory, driving growth in travel insurance products and leading a team of sales representatives. The role focuses on expanding market presence, building strong partnerships with travel agencies and brokers, and achieving sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Expand the market presence within a region by developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing agency partnerships, and leading a team of sales representatives.
  • Oversee a team of sales representatives and drive the sales performance within the assigned area by providing guidance and monitoring performance to ensure the targets are met.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies specific to the area, ensuring alignment with regional and national sales goals.
  • Market Penetration: Identify and target new market opportunities within the region to expand the customer base for travel insurance products.
  • Lead and execute initiatives designed to drive product awareness and increase sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, such as travel agencies, insurance brokers, and agents, to expand the reach of our travel insurance products.
  • Recruit and onboard new sales staff as needed to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with high-value clients, ensuring their needs are met and contributing to the drive for retention and loyalty.
  • Monitor and report on the sales performance within the assigned area, providing regular updates to senior management on progress toward sales targets.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and business predictions for the area, adjusting strategies to meet evolving market conditions.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, conversion rates, and revenue, ensuring that the sales team is on track to achieve targets.
  • Stay informed about competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and market trends to ensure that the company’s products remain competitive.
  • Understand the unique needs and preferences of the local market to tailor sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Manage the area’s sales budget, ensuring the allocation of resources to support sales activities and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Has a graduate or post-graduate degree in related fields.
  • Has 10+ years of experience in Sales.
  • Stay informed about competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and market trends to ensure that the company’s products remain competitive.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a sales team to achieve performance targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, agency partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly when working with agency partners, clients, and stakeholders.
  • The ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, agents, and other business partners.
  • Ability to analyze market data and trends to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Implementing Innovative Sales Techniques.
  • Effective in resolving issues related to sales, service, and internal operations
