We are seeking an Art & Design Teacher for a combined role spanning Nursery to Grade 10. This role suits a creative, adaptable educator who is comfortable working across a wide age range and excited by the opportunity to shape art, design and creative spaces in a growing school.
The role
The successful candidate will deliver Art across the whole school (IB PYP & MYP) and Design (MYP), adapting their practice to meet the needs of students from early childhood through to secondary.
Art (Nursery–Grade 10)
Art is taught to all students, one module per week, from Nursery through Grade 10
The role has a strong Early Years and Primary focus, where a warm, nurturing approach and developmentally appropriate practice are essential
The teacher will also confidently adapt approaches for upper primary and secondary students, ensuring progression in skills, creativity and conceptual understanding
Design & Makerspace (MYP)
Design is taught for two modules per week within the IB Middle Years Programme, in multigrade classes
The teacher will lead the makerspace as a creative hub, designing inquiry-based learning aligned with the IB Design cycle and supporting hands-on problem-solving, design thinking and prototyping across the school.
While Design is not a standalone subject in the PYP, the teacher will collaborate with and support PYP Homeroom teachers in integrating design principles and makerspace activities into their units of inquiry
Wider contribution to school life
As a startup school, all staff contribute beyond their core teaching responsibilities. For this role, this includes:
Contributing to school communications, including supporting photography, documenting learning, and providing content for internal and external communication channels
Experience in photography, communications, marketing or social media is highly valued and will strengthen an application, but a willingness to learn and actively contribute is essential
Encouraging interest in robotics, programming and creative technologies, including through extracurricular activities
Remaining flexible to support other areas of the school as needs evolve and where skills allow
We are looking for someone who:
Is adaptable, resilient and comfortable with change
Enjoys working with very young children and secondary students
Thrives in a multicultural, multilingual environment
Is excited by the challenge of helping to build and shape a new school
Why join us?
A rare opportunity to define art, design and creative learning from the ground up
Stateoftheart facilities, including a dedicated makerspace
The chance to make a meaningful impact in a small, growing IB school
Strong professional learning support through the SEK Education Group
Starting salary: 140.000 SAR / Year
Final salary is based on relevant qualifications and experience. Accommodation is also provided as an additional benefit and included for staff at no additional cost.
