Job Summary
The Assistant Project Manager – Catering supports the Project Manager in managing all catering operations for the project, ensuring efficient service delivery, cost control, compliance with HSE and food safety standards, and client satisfaction. The role coordinates daily operations, supervises departments, and assists in planning, reporting, and continuous improvement of catering services.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Support
- Assist the Project Manager in managing day-to-day catering operations
- Coordinate between kitchen, FOH, housekeeping, and logistics teams
- Ensure service delivery meets contractual, company, and client standards
- Support mobilization, demobilization, and camp setup activities
Staff Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise supervisors (Kitchen, FOH, Housekeeping) as assigned
- Assist in manpower planning, shift scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Support recruitment, induction, and training of catering staff
- Ensure discipline, attendance, and productivity standards are maintained
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Support communication with the client and attend coordination meetings
- Assist in handling client feedback, complaints, and service improvements
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and followed up
HSE, Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HSE, HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Support audits, inspections, and client reviews
- Monitor corrective actions related to non-conformities
- Promote a strong safety and hygiene culture across the project
Cost Control & Resources
- Assist in monitoring budgets, consumption, and wastage
- Support inventory control of food, consumables, and equipment
- Review daily production figures and service reports
- Assist in procurement planning and vendor coordination
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
- Maintain documentation, checklists, and project records
- Support KPI tracking and performance evaluations
- Act as Project Manager in their absence when assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in catering or hospitality operations
- Experience in camp catering, oil & gas, or remote site projects preferred
- Supervisory or assistant management experience required

Pay: E£85,000.00 per month
