Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Location: Warehouse Truck Shop / Heavy-Duty Truck Service Facility
Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Accountant to work alongside our lead accountant within a busy truck repair and warehouse environment. This is a practical, operations-focused position — far beyond typical spreadsheet work. You will play a direct role in monitoring parts inventory, tracking technician hours, managing service data, and maintaining financial accuracy, primarily using Fullbay.

Core Responsibilities

• Accurately input, monitor, and reconcile technician labor hours, repair orders, and completed services in Fullbay
• Maintain oversight of parts inventory, including purchases, usage, and sales
• Assist with payroll-related tracking such as employee hours, labor expenses, and job costing
• Keep detailed and reliable records of company income and expenditures
• Provide support to the lead accountant with:
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Cost analysis and reporting
• Bookkeeping tasks and account reconciliations
• Ensure operational and financial data remains current, structured, and error-free
• Work collaboratively with technicians, parts personnel, and leadership to investigate and resolve discrepancies

Required Qualifications

• Foundational accounting or bookkeeping experience (formal education or practical experience)
• Exceptional attention to detail — accuracy is critical in this role
• Confidence using business software platforms and the ability to quickly learn new systems
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in an active warehouse setting
• Effective communication skills when working with both office staff and shop teams

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with Fullbay or comparable fleet/repair management software
• Previous experience in truck service facilities, warehouses, or parts-driven operations
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
