EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The Financial Crimes Team investigates and prosecutes a wide variety of cases including wage theft, identify theft, complex fraud, elder fraud and crimes committed by government employees and public officials. We seek an attorney with significant litigation experience to combat fraud in Washington. The selected candidate will work closely with senior AGO investigators, as well as state agencies and state, local and federal law enforcement partners to investigate and prosecute financial crimes. While the primary focus of this position is prosecuting financial crimes, the selected candidate should be proficient in prosecuting a full range of crimes. The Attorney General’s Office receives criminal referrals from any of Washington’s 39 county prosecuting attorneys or the governor. The selected candidate will work in downtown Seattle, but travel around the state for court hearings, investigations and trial preparation as necessary.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This Assistant Attorney General position is represented by the Association of Washington Assistant Attorneys General (AWAAG) / Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) AFSCME Council 28, AFL-CIO. AAG salaries are set between $82,212 and $153,996. This position is located in King County and is thus eligible for 5% King County Assignment Pay. The exact amount is set in accordance with Appendix B of the AWAAG CBA.
