Assistant Auditor - part time attorney

Duties

• Provide expert legal advice regarding governmental law.
• Conduct detailed legal research to support the auditor's office regarding county, state or federal law effecting county financial matters.
• Draft clear and comprehensive legal documents to present to Commissioners' Court and write Attorney General opinion requests.
• Stay informed about evolving laws related to county government to provide advice to the county auditor.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while providing transparent guidance to the county auditor.
