Job Description:
Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- BE / B.Sc in Engineering (Civil/Related fields) from an HEC recognized university with minimum 5-7 years’ of service experience in multinational construction firms. Organization like NHA, CDA, FWO and NLC.
Desirable:
- MS / MSc in Structure Engineering from a recognized HEC university and CMES course from recognized institute / department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shall assist Director Works on financial, technical and administrative matters.
- Shall ensure implementation of policies of Director Works, keeping in view the technical and financial regulations.
- Ensure operation and management of facilities at H-12, Islamabad to include electricity, water supply, Sui gas HVAC system and services.
- Dispose off old stock and unserviceable stores / machinery in consultation with Dir Works.
- To maintain record of NUST buildings, roads and all installations.
- Preparation of demand of maintenance budget.
- Dealing with Audit observations.
- Preparation of financial effects and documents for early completion of works.
- Preparation of stores demands required for maintenance.
- Execution of maintenance works through (out sourcing) if work is bigger in nature.
- Local purchase of stores for maintenance.
- Maintain register of all buildings and installations.
- Handing/taking of projects.
- Ensure prompt and effective action on all observation/points raised by Planning / Monitoring team.
- Discipline of staff as per E&D rules and Ordinance 2000.
- Shall initiate ACRs of officers/staff under his command.
- Perform any other duty assigned by Director Works.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies:-
- Hardworking, honest, obedient and dedicated officer.
- Possess excellent experience of civil work especially development work.
- Always committed to professional assignments with strong inclination towards structure / infrastructure development works.

- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.
- Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations. Late / incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
