- Support the Director in managing the Convention & Events team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment
- Supervise daily operations, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Coach and develop team members through training, feedback, and performance reviews
- Ensure team compliance with IHG standards, procedures, and service delivery
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution
Financial
- Assist in preparing forecasts, budgets, and financial plans
- Monitor sales performance, revenue, and productivity metrics
- Support in negotiating rates within established booking guidelines
- Identify opportunities to maximize revenue and control costs
Guest Experience
- Act as a key contact for clients, ensuring a smooth and memorable event journey
- Support in building and maintaining strong relationships with planners and clients
- Assist with pre-event planning, ensuring all details (setup, flow, menu, logistics) are optimized
- Coordinate event details including room setup, staging, and timing
- Participate in pre-event and post-event meetings to ensure service excellence
- Support daily client interaction during events, ensuring satisfaction and handling any issues promptly
- Assist in analysing guest feedback and satisfaction surveys to improve service
Responsible Business
- Support initiatives that enhance the hotel’s reputation and brand presence locally
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sustainability standards
- Promote environmentally responsible practices during events
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs
