Assistant Director of Nursing

Duties

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including those requiring hospice care, home health services, or acute care.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including nurse managers and caregivers, ensuring adherence to nursing administration standards and shift management protocols.
  • Oversee medical records and documentation review processes using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and timely updates.
  • Monitor resident’s <PERSON>;, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being through diligent assessment of physiology and anatomy knowledge.
  • Manage staffing schedules efficiently to ensure proper coverage for all shifts while maintaining high-quality resident care.
  • Conduct regular audits of care documentation, medical terminology accuracy, and compliance with Medicare regulations.
  • Lead efforts in staff training on medical records management, HIPAA regulations, and proper use of EMR/EHR systems to promote best practices across the facility.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes with a strong background in nursing home operations.
  • Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership in nurse management or nursing administration roles.
  • Knowledge of resident care processes including care plans, MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, and documentation review procedures.
  • Familiarity with home health services, hospice care protocols, acute care practices, and Medicare regulations.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and EHR systems for managing medical records efficiently. (Kinnser/Wellsky, Epic, etc,.)
  • Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and, maintains compliance to the CHAP Home Care standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across shift management scenarios while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
