Job Description:
The Assistant Estimation Engineer supports the estimation and commercial team in preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for facilities management projects. The role involves reviewing RFQs, tender documents, and scope requirements related to hard and soft FM services including MEP maintenance, HVAC systems, cleaning services, security services, landscaping, and annual maintenance contracts. The candidate assists in quantity take-offs, pricing analysis, and preparation of cost breakdowns while coordinating with procurement teams to obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations.

The position requires reviewing drawings, technical specifications, and operational requirements to ensure accurate cost evaluation. The Assistant Estimation Engineer supports the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, compiles BOQs and pricing sheets, and ensures compliance with tender requirements and submission timelines. The role may involve participating in site visits to validate scope and cost assumptions, maintaining estimation databases, and supporting value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and possesses 3–4 years of experience in facilities management estimation, preferably within the UAE. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, maintenance operations, and FM service pricing models is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments are essential for success in this role.
