Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimation Engineer with experience in steel fabrication and structural steel projects to prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions. The candidate will analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to determine material, labor, and fabrication costs for steel-related construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications related to structural steel and fabrication works.
• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity take-offs for steel structures, fabrication, and installation works.
• Calculate material quantities such as steel plates, beams, pipes, and structural members.
• Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams to obtain cost inputs.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
• Prepare and submit tender documents, commercial proposals, and technical clarifications.
• Analyze project requirements including cutting, welding, painting, and erection works.
• Monitor market prices of steel materials and fabrication costs.
• Maintain records of estimation data, project costs, and tender submissions.
• Assist management in value engineering and cost optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in estimation for steel fabrication, structural steel, or construction industry in UAE.
• Good knowledge of steel fabrication processes, welding, cutting, and erection works.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and mechanical drawings.
• Experience in preparing BOQ, material take-offs, and cost estimation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and project requirements.
