Assistant Farm Manager - Large-Scale Open Field Operations

Location: Al Kharj, Saudi Arabia

Reporting to: Farm Manager

Salary: 40,000 SAR per month + Executive Benefits

We are seeking a high-performance Assistant Farm Manager to lead in our 560-hectare agricultural unit in Al Kharj. This is a critical leadership role managing a high-output operation producing 50,000 tons of premium Carrots and Lettuce annually.

The successful candidate will oversee an annual production value of SAR 20 million(approx 4m GBP), ensuring that our 15-person specialized team operates with maximum efficiency and technical precision.

Core Purpose of the Job

To drive the success of our farming unit through rigorous supervision, technical guidance, and strategic operational management. You will be responsible for achieving high yields and cost-effectiveness while maintaining a safe, world-class farming environment.

Areas of Responsibility

Operational Excellence: Align field initiatives with farming strategies to manage an SAR 10 million(approx 2m GBP) operating budget (Labor & Overhead) and SAR 8 million in annual input costs.
Team Leadership: Direct and motivate a specialized team, including supervisors for Irrigation, Workshop, Crops, and Stores, ensuring 100% training compliance and performance.
Resource Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of farm machinery and tools across two functional areas: the Farm and the Workshop.
Supply Chain & Quality: Manage relationships with approximately 10 key suppliers and ensure all crops meet stringent quality standards from cultivation through to harvest.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce SOPs and health and safety standards to ensure a zero-harm working environment.

Candidate Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business Management.
Professional Certification in Agriculture or Horticulture Business Management.

Professional Experience:

Minimum 7 years of experience in managing agriculture or horticulture operations within a medium-sized organization.
Minimum 3 years of specific experience within the Food Industry, with a deep understanding of commercial supply chains.
Proven track record in managing high-volume production (ideally 40k+ tons per annum).
