The Department of Oncology at Aga Khan University Hospital is a patient-centered comprehensive state-of-the-art cancer management facility. The main objective of the department is to provide first-class, leading-edge cancer services and it is equipped with 3 medical Linear accelerators, 1 HDR brachytherapy after loader, 1 conventional simulator, mold room and a PET-CT simulator.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

• develop individualized plan of care and ensure implementation of the same through timely follow-ups
• incorporate theoretical concepts and advanced clinical skills into practice
• coordinate all processes for patient care and ensure timely delivery of all core processes
• participate in multidisciplinary rounds as applicable and plan patient care accordingly
• organize workload and set priorities appropriately
• ensure that all reportable cases are communicated to supervisor verbally and through shift reports
• quickly and appropriately respond in conflicts or crisis in patient care areas.
• teach and mentor new staff in the area and ensure that quality care is delivered to the patients
• coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of patient care
• assess patient care and acuity trends, plan and manage unit, make staffing arrangements and ensure availability of required supplies, equipment and other resources

Requirements:

You should have:

• a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school, preferably a Master’s degree in the same
• at least two years of nursing experience and a valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
• certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Safe Medication Administration, Aseptic Techniques, I/V Cannulation
• in-depth knowledge of health and safety measures
• excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
• ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently
• proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
• willingness to work in shift duties.
