H&S Apparel is one of the fastest-growing men’s fashion brands in Karachi. We focus on quality, great prices, and excellent customer service. We manage multiple stores and a large retail workforce. We are looking for an Assistant HR Manager who can support our HR department, handle HR operations, help improve our team performance, assist in day-to-day HR operations and ensure smooth HR functioning across all branches.

Job Responsibilities

HR Operations & Policy Management

  • Oversee and manage HR operations for all retail branches
  • Ensure company policies, SOPs, and discipline are followed across all locations
  • Prepare, update, and implement HR policies when required
  • Handle employee disputes, grievances, and store-level HR issues professionally

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Lead the full recruitment cycle for retail and head office positions
  • Conduct interviews, shortlist candidates, and ensure timely hiring
  • Manage onboarding, orientation, and training for new employees
  • Maintain manpower planning and coordinate with branch managers on staffing needs

Attendance, Payroll & Compliance

  • Monitor attendance, shift schedules, and staff punctuality for all branches
  • Prepare monthly payroll data including overtime, leaves, and deductions
  • Maintain complete and accurate HR records

Performance Management

  • Conduct staff evaluations and track employee performance
  • Assist management in setting KPIs and performance standards
  • Identify training needs and arrange skill-building sessions
  • Recommend promotions, warnings, or disciplinary actions when needed

Store-Level HR Supervision

  • Regularly coordinate with store managers and floor managers
  • Visit branches when required to monitor HR SOPs
  • Ensure smooth communication between management and retail teams
  • Handle major attendance, behavior, or performance-related issues

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Develop ideas to improve employee morale and reduce turnover
  • Support in building a positive work culture across branches
  • Plan HR initiatives, staff activities, and engagement programs

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of HR experience (retail HR strongly preferred)
  • Strong communication, reporting, and leadership skills
  • Must be confident in handling HR operations independently
  • Good command overMS Excel and HR documentation
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple branches
  • Organized, responsible, and strong in decision-making

Salary Range

Market competitive — based on experience
