We are looking for an Assistant HR Manager who can support our HR department, handle HR operations, help improve our team performance, assist in day-to-day HR operations and ensure smooth HR functioning across all branches.
Job Responsibilities
HR Operations & Policy Management
- Oversee and manage HR operations for all retail branches
- Ensure company policies, SOPs, and discipline are followed across all locations
- Prepare, update, and implement HR policies when required
- Handle employee disputes, grievances, and store-level HR issues professionally
Recruitment & Staffing
- Lead the full recruitment cycle for retail and head office positions
- Conduct interviews, shortlist candidates, and ensure timely hiring
- Manage onboarding, orientation, and training for new employees
- Maintain manpower planning and coordinate with branch managers on staffing needs
Attendance, Payroll & Compliance
- Monitor attendance, shift schedules, and staff punctuality for all branches
- Prepare monthly payroll data including overtime, leaves, and deductions
- Maintain complete and accurate HR records
Performance Management
- Conduct staff evaluations and track employee performance
- Assist management in setting KPIs and performance standards
- Identify training needs and arrange skill-building sessions
- Recommend promotions, warnings, or disciplinary actions when needed
Store-Level HR Supervision
- Regularly coordinate with store managers and floor managers
- Visit branches when required to monitor HR SOPs
- Ensure smooth communication between management and retail teams
- Handle major attendance, behavior, or performance-related issues
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Develop ideas to improve employee morale and reduce turnover
- Support in building a positive work culture across branches
- Plan HR initiatives, staff activities, and engagement programs
Requirements
- At least 2 years of HR experience (retail HR strongly preferred)
- Strong communication, reporting, and leadership skills
- Must be confident in handling HR operations independently
- Good command overMS Excel and HR documentation
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple branches
- Organized, responsible, and strong in decision-making
